Origin

I come from a Spanish city called Salamanca. Its origins date back to pre-Roman times, when it was known as Helmantica, a name that now graces one of the city's football stadiums. During the Roman conquest, the city played a crucial role in the famous Silver Route (Vía de la Plata), a Roman road used for transporting goods and precious metals from the north (León) to the south (Cádiz).

Nowadays, Salamanca is a medium-sized city with vibrant university life. It belongs to the Spanish region of Castile and León, and it borders Portugal to the west, Extremadura to the south, Ávila to the east, and Zamora and Valladolid to the north.

Salamanca is famous for its university, the oldest in Spain and one of the oldest in the world. Because of that academic environment, I stayed to complete a degree in Physics (2016-2020) and later specialized in mathematics through a Master's in Mathematical Modeling (2020-2021).

Biography

After finishing my master's studies, I moved to Bilbao, an industrial city in northern Spain. Bilbao belongs to the Basque Country, a region with its own language, Euskera.

I started a three-month internship at BCAM (Basque Center for Applied Mathematics), where I then continued as a Research Technician in the Statistical Physics department under the supervision of Gianni Pagnini. During that period, I conducted my first independent research and confirmed that I wanted to pursue a PhD and dedicate myself to research.

I then started searching for a doctoral position and decided to join the University of Navarra due to its national and international prestige, under the supervision of Rubén Armañanzas.
